Have you ever wanted to play in a band?!
MECA Creates is a program where the students have an opportunity to become part of a band with other MECA students of the same age and playing ability. Interested students will be given songs to learn during their normal lesson time, and then they will meet and practice with other students who have learned the same songs on different instruments. Once band practices start, it won’t be long until the bands are ready to rock!
MECA will hold a minimum of 2 MECA Creates concerts a year. MECA will also attempt to give these bands more opportunities to perform outside of the 2 concerts each year. Other opportunities for performing could be summer festivals or special events.
There is no additional charge for private students to enroll in MECA Creates. Students must attend a minimum of 2 band rehearsals to perform in concerts.
