Group Lesson Information
While private lessons typically start at age six, MECA also offers group lessons in our South Elgin location for kids six and under. These group lessons help kids begin to learn music through color, shape, pictures and other fun and creative teaching methods. Older than six and still want to take lessons in a group setting? No problem. MECA also offers a variety of group lessons for beginning students over the age of six. Instruments for these lessons can include, but are not limited to, guitar, piano, and vocal. Group lessons can be a great way for the beginning student to get started and make new friends while learning a musical instrument.

Each class has a required materials charge.
Materials will be available for purchase the date of the first class.
Instruments will be provided for all piano classes.
Students must provide their own guitar.
Guitars are available to rent/purchase through MECA.
